Several years ago, I was feeling unable to connect with God in prayer. I started writing in my journal what I knew to be true about God. Soon the words were flowing, and by the end of that time, I was blessed by a renewed sense of God’s presence. These are the words from my prayer journal. My Bible study groups have used this for an opening prayer, each person reading a line aloud in turn.
